September visit to the US

Stephan Asseo

Just back from a 10 days trip to the US starting with a flight to NY JFK on september 11... quite a tight security at the time of boarding in Europe.

Annual trade tasting organised by our common NY wholesaler Frederick Wildman that my good friend Stephan Asseo just joined in New York. Stephan left France 7 years ago with his entire family and found l'Aventure Vineyards in Paso Robles California. He lately became the new hot winery in California with a stunning 98/100 from Robert Parker

Brian Ogden et Franck SavoyAlso spent on this trip 3 days in Las Vegas which has become in very little time one of the top food & wine destination in the country. The world of gastronomy has fewer and fewer bordersl...

As a proof, the sole Caesar Palace hosts two of the finest restaurants in Vegas. The restaurant of Bradley Ogden and of Guy Savoy whose son Franck is in charge. At the end of the service, we are received with the same warm and hospitable welcome as his father Guy who from his *** Michelin restaurant can be proud of the performance of his team, run by Franck. Concerning Brian, the son of Bradley runs the James Beard award winner of the newest  restaurant in town. Brian has a very rare passion for wine amongst chefs that too often neglect the "liquid part of the match".

Buy wine

In our job, one should never forget that the bottom line is the sale of wine. The licence plate of Tony, one of the veteran sales representative at our local distributor is here to remind all of his clients that he needs their support for his living.

If you happen to go to Las Vegas, take a moment to look at wine lists, you may be surprised to see so many of our top wines. Another reason for you to hit the jackpot ;-)
